Karmelo Anthony (now 19-year-old track athlete)
Self-defense, Nonsense Case
I am so sick of the white racist conversations being generated about that young man, the self-defense murder of a bigger/taller white boy, and the 35-year sentence of that kid. Yes, to me he’s a boy. His brain doesn’t complete development until his mid to latter 20’s. He made a hasty and deadly decision, that I don’t deny.
Anyway, I’m glad this intelligent sista and a bunch of intelligent Black panel members are spitting facts about the ending of that case against young Karmelo. Jasmine Crockett is one of the most intelligent Black women in this country, no matter how much she scares some white people. This is long, so, you might want to listen to it after reading what I said.
Then look at this bullshit:
Shutupp can choke on his own dick for all I care. It’s not okay to talk like this about Black people. Does he think to be a big bad white man by saying that word openly? I’d kill him on sight and told him so. Fuck people having a negative reaction to me saying that, too. I’m sick & tired of racists like that. SICK OF THEM!
Thank you Bella Vandala for humanizing the situation and telling white folks what we go through in this hostile country. The jury was a bunch of white men, Asian woman, I think Hispanic woman and someone else.
White people get so much more grace when it comes to things like this. Forget who was right & who was wrong. Someone got killed and the other’s case went to trial. Those 2 boys didn’t know each other, so it couldn’t have been premeditated. One of the boys around the victim and in that tent was his brother.
When MLK Jr. said there are 2 AmeriKKKa’s, this is what he meant. Kyle Rittenhouse didn’t get shit for what he did. Only white men get the self-defense rap or none, and Black men get the book thrown at them. Do you think it takes a bunch of Black people to change the way justice is served in this country? WRONG! We don’t control any of that. Guess who does? Guess who could care less? We know that anti-racism is performative if white people aren’t complaining about this justice system.
What do you think Colin Kaepernick took a knee for? The flag? Nope. The Anthem? Nope. Military personnel? Nope. He took a knee about poleece brutality against Black people and got white-balled from the NFL for objecting to it. Interesting. Had he been taking the knee for anything else unrelated to us, they wouldn’t have thrown him out of the NFL. Say for cancer research or something. They wouldn’t have changed the narrative to the flag or the Anthem, which is not why he knelt.
But Karmelo Anthony had a shitty defense team who didn’t humanize him during that trial. Makes me wonder if they were paid or were they public defenders? I wish Jasmine Crockett could be his lawyer. He wouldn’t have gotten that horrible rap. Maybe she can help him appeal that sentence. The judge was biased because he knew the family of the victim. That should’ve been an immediate reason to get another trial elsewhere because of that conflict of interest. The defense could’ve called for it, but they didn’t. Hmmmmmm.
This isn’t just about the young Black man. This is something that happens every day to Black people in AmeriKKKa. I have been victim of this corrupt system defending myself against rogue cops. Every time it happens to one of us, I am reminded of when it happened to me for a far less ordeal. I remember the feeling of pure rage & humiliation that I was being blamed for something I didn’t do. The judge sided with the white cops and spat at me every time he saw me. I couldn’t believe my ears and my soul was on fire.
Karmelo was just as accomplished as the kid he didn’t mean to kill. He asked about the boy before he knew the damage he caused. That’s not the way the prosecution laid him out. They pumped up the victim because he was white and downplayed the perp because he’s Black. They do that to Black people whether we’re the victim or the perpetrator in cases like this.
A dead bully white boy vs. a guilty self-defense Black boy. Why did they try to force Karmelo out of that tent? Why were they bullying him, out of all the people who were under that thing? And it wasn’t about race, huh? His father is a liar. I bet one of those kids had a recording nobody ever heard of what was said under that tent. I don’t find it coincidental that there wasn’t one.
This is systemic & covert racism within the confines of the law. He was not tried by a jury of his peers. There would have been Black people as his peers, not a bunch of white men and a couple of POCs. This is what anti-racism should be about, not the obvious screams of overt racism.
All dictionaries have changed the meaning of racism, too. It used to be about one group of people having dominance over the other as a result of some activity, whether it be one person or a group of people. Now they’ve watered it down, so it looks like reverse-racism is possible when it isn’t. NO, IT ISN’T POSSIBLE!
We know better, but younger generations who didn’t know the original meaning are being made ignorant with the changed definition of words that makes the power structure feel bad about themselves. Oh, whaaaaaaaaa. Good grief, you’d think they were the most fragile people on the planet to do crap like that.
The most that young Karmelo should’ve gotten is a manslaughter charge. Just listen to the full video of Jasmine Crockett and you’ll see why. I don’t have much more to say about this except it’s polarizing this nation because people are casting opinions like hot cakes all over the country. I think his sentence was too steep for what happened. Heaven help us.

A few things:
1. NGL, I thought this was about the retired Knicks player Carmelo Anthony.
2. Your sentence "This is systemic & covert racism within the confines of the law." has one too many c's before "overt".
3. White supremacists (especially those who are white) are the most fragile people on planet earth. Glass is made out of diamonds compared to the fragility of which white supremacy is made.
4. "shutupp" should take his own advice.
EXCELLENT & this is exactly what needs saying when it comes to all white people, me included. I looked up Texas 'Retrials' & the standard "Texas Rules of Evidence" September 1, 2025 & "Texas Rule of Evidence Rules 401 & 402" appear. It reads like Texas sticks with original evidence & proceedings. But, also found info on presenting "New Evidence" that is critical for Texas Criminal Appeals. This noted, "may only be offered a motion for a new trial or in a post conviction 'writ for habeas corpus'."
I hope Karmelo is able to hire an expert litigation attorney, & I pray his case is overturned due to the prejudicial nature of that Court & Jury. That young man, & every black person & individual defined by a color, or preference for that matter, deserve much better,... a whole lot better!
